Hey guys!!
Sorry ive not been posting in a while, I will do a post at some point today to explain why I haven’t been posting much and why I have been so absent. Again, sincere apologies.
But, today I finally worked out how to put photos into a post not just the featured image at the top (I know I’m slow at technology). This has inspired me to do a post about something I LOVE. So I am part of many fandoms but the longest and biggest fandom I have been a part of is the Harry Potter fandom and now the fantastic beasts fandom. I have been collecting Harry Potter merch a long long time but unfortunately I can’t show you all of it because some of it is under my bed, in the attic and in random hard to get areas of my room.
I hope you enjoy looking at my collection. I will try and put as many of the prices as I can remember. Feel free to ask any questions. I would love to hear what in my collection you like and what potter/beasts merch you own too. Now in no particular order…
This is a fantastic beasts and where to find them door hanger. It is meant to look like a beast looking out of the lock on Newt Scamanders briefcase. I bought this from Primark for £2.00 and I bought it to take to university with me when I move in to halls.
I have the classic set of the Harry Potter books. I have no idea whether they are first editions or not but I’ve had them since being a child. That’s why the covers are a little scuffed from age and love. I really like the art on the classic collection, I like the fact that they are mostly hardback, though from Goblet of Fire onwards they are hard to carry around in a bag with you to read daily because of how big they are. Though I love this set I really want a set of the new cover books for Christmas so I can take them to university with me next year.
These are my other Harry Potter books. The tales of Beedle the Bard and the 20th edition Gryffindor Harry Potter and the philosophers stone. My dad bought me the Beedle the Bard for £3.99 I think, in a pre-owned DVD and book store called “that’s entertainment”. I bought the 20th edition philosophers stone as a “going back to college” present from myself to myself for £6.99 from the waterstones website. I bought it because I am a Gryffindor, I love Harry Potter and I just thought it looked awesome!!
I do own all of the Harry Potter DVD’s but some of them are at my boyfriends house, they were various prices and I got them each when they came out so I’ve had most of them a long long time. My dad bought me fantastic beast when it came out and I’m not sure how much it was. All of my HP DVD’s are two disk special editions with lots of extra features, and I can honestly say I’ve watched all the special features.
This is a book about the behind the scenes making of fantastic beasts, the costume design, prop design and brining the creatures to life. I wanted this book after I saw the fantastic beasts film because I liked the design of sets etc within the movie. This book is £14.99 at Waterstones but I bought it at a boot sale for £3…BARGAIN!!!
This is a grey Gryffindor jumper I bought from Primark with my birthday money last year, I think it was £6-£8. I like it because it’s not bright red like most Gryffindor clothing so you can show your house pride but in a more subtle way.

These are my Harry Potter wands. They were handmade from actual sticks/logs from trees by a craftsman that has a stall at my local market. They were £5 each which is really good because though the wands from the Harry Potter studios are better quality they are £25 more expensive. On the left I have Dumbledor’s elder wand, in the middle I have lucius Malfoy ‘s wand and on the right I have Voldemorts wand. Though I really want to buy hermiones wand from the Harry Potter studio.
This is a Harry Potter mug that I bought from Primark for £3. I bought it to take to university with me.
I have loads more Harry Potter socks but some of them are in the wash/some are in my wardrobe. But these are the ones I can find, they are all from primark. Some I’ve bought myself, some were Christmas presents. The only ones I know the price of for sure are the knee high platform 93/4 socks which were £2.50
This is a Gryffindor pin badge. It cost £3.99 and I bought it from forbidden planet in Cambridge. It’s currently still in its packaging because I don’t know what to do with it. I can’t decided whether to pin it on my denim jacket or on my red checkered rucksack or somewhere else. Any suggestions welcome 🙂
This is my Harry Potter blanket. I bought it from primark for £6. It’s very very fluffy and so soft and a good size (single bed) and I love it.
This is my hardback Cursed child book. I pre-ordered it from WHSmith before it was released and it was £9.99. I read it the day that I got it. I thought it was okay but I didn’t really like it as part of the Harry Potter story. That’s my personal opinion, I have nothing against people that love it. I just don’t think it was needed, I think you got enough closure at the end of the deathly Hallows. I’d like to one day see the play because I think it’d be better than the book.
This is a front page of the newspaper in the fantastic beasts movie in a photo frame. I bought this from primark for £6 to take to university with me to decorate my room in my halls with. I just really liked it and thought it looked pretty cool. I love newspapers and maps as wall decorations.
This is a Harry Potter Jersey jacket I bought from Primark for £6-£8. It is a very vribrant red but due to the style of jacket it is you can get away with it. It has a really nice hogwarts crest on the chest and really nice buttons. It’s great in all weathers really, though it’s obviously not waterproof. The only downfall with this jacket is that it dosent have a hood, I personally prefer jackets with hoods because I live in England and it’s always raining.
So, that is my Harry Potter/fantastic beasts merch collection. Thank you for reading, sorry it was so long. What items of my collection do you like? What is your favourite Harry Potter/fantastic beasts merch? What HP/FB merch would you like yo own in the future? I might make a blog post in a few weeks about my HP merch wish list.
